Pro-Mark Wunderlich And Diversity Series Keyboard Mallets

Nine new keyboard mallets–five for marimba and four for vibraphone–have been added to Pro-Mark’s catalog. These models are designed for Concord Blue Devils front ensemble instructor Jim Wunderlich. The JW series of mallets have the durability to withstand outdoor demands, while facilitating musical precision and finesse for indoor marching, concert percussion, and wind ensembles. Each of the marimba mallets features a synthetic core and birch handle ($44.95 per pair), while the vibraphone models feature rubber-like synthetic cores and rattan handles ($54.95 per pair).
The Diversity Series keyboard mallets, which are also designed by the percussion staff of the Concord Blue Devils, consists of eight mallet models, four for marimba and four for xylophone. The marimba versions (DV1–DV4) feature latex-wrapped synthetic heads with a nylon/wool blend yarn wrapping and a birch shaft. These mallets can be used on marimbas with either synthetic or rosewood bars (retail price: $44.95 per pair). The DV5R–DV8R xylophone mallets feature mushroom-shaped cord-wrapped heads on rattan shafts (retail price: $54.95 per pair). www.pro-mark.com
