Terri Lyne Carrington’s <i>The Mosaic Project</i> Reveives 2012 Grammy Award for “Best Jazz Vocal Album”
The 54th annual Grammy awards brought Hebert-Carrington Media co-founder Terri Lyne Carrington her first Grammy award as a leader for her ambitious cross-genre production The Mosaic Project. Her debut album on Concord Jazz, and her fifth overall, won the “Best Jazz Vocal Album” category. “I am overjoyed at this project being recognized by the recording industry, peers, and media,” remarks Carrington. “This album was made with love and honesty, it’s been a thirty-year journey and all of it came together tonight. I’m honored, humble, and grateful.”
