Now in its eighth year, Musicians Institute’s Summer Shot 2013 is a chance to crank up musician’s creative and technical skills with MI’s world-famous, hands-on education. This annual summer program offers intensive one-week courses in performance (bass, drums, guitar, keyboards, vocals, sax, trombone, and trumpet), songwriting, DJ/music production, guitar building, and more. The Summer Shot 2013 program will include guest artists Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Blasko, Animals as Leaders, Bruce Kulick of KISS, Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, the Faceless, DJ Sid Vicious, and more.

Summer Shot students will experience extensive music training in classes and private lessons, and will meet with industry professionals, learn from guest artists, and perform live in MI’s concert hall. Course dates will run June 23 to June 27 and June 28 to July 2.

As part of MI Summer Shot 2013, Musicians Institute has launched a Facebook contest offering a free one-week course valued at $1,600. The contest is open to all qualified applicants ages fourteen and above who are not currently enrolled in the MI Summer Shot 2013 program. The contest deadline is Friday, June 14. Advertisement
