Kenny Aronoff Offers Free Lesson on Functional Practicing
Rock drummer Kenny Aronoff will be teaching a free online lesson on Functional Practicing at Drumeo.com on Friday, August 2, 2013, starting at 1 pm PDT.
Kenny Aronoff has performed and recorded with some of the world’s most prominent artists, including Elton John, Rod Stewart, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, John Fogerty, and many more, and on August 2 he will share some of the functional practicing tips and techniques that helped him get to where he is as a drummer.
Kenny will be teaching from the Drumeo.com studio on his Yamaha DTX drums, and the free hour-long lesson will be live-broadcasted over the Internet for drumming students around the world. Drummers can watch the lesson, submit questions for Kenny, and chat with other students using any Internet-ready computer, tablet, or smartphone.
“It’s an honor to have Kenny Aronoff visit the studio and teach a live drum lesson on the Drumeo Edge platform,” said Dave Atkinson, community manager at Drumeo.com. “I know Kenny has some amazing insights to share with the drumming community. We’re so thankful that Yamaha DTX has sponsored this event so we can provide it for free, so everybody can benefit from Kenny’s knowledge and experience.” Advertisement
