KoSA 18th International Percussion Workshop, Drum Camp, and Festival

The KoSA International Percussion Workshop Camp and Festival will take place July 23–28 at Castleton State College, nestled in the mountains of Vermont near the resort destination of Killington.

The KoSA Workshop is a hands-on intensive percussion camp. Courses of study cover a diverse range of styles and techniques, including drumset (rock, jazz, Latin, funk), Brazilian, Arabic, frame drumming, Cuban, Brazilian, South East Indian, classical percussion, marimba, jazz vibraphone, timpani, snare drum, percussion ensemble, steel drumming, and marching percussion. Percussion for band director sessions will be offered, as well as classes in video conferencing and music technology for all levels. Daily ensembles, jam sessions, and evening concerts will also take place.

The faculty this year includes Memo Acevedo, Sergio Bellotti, Gregg Bissonette, Jason Bittner, Eriko Daimo, Mario DeCiutiis, Frank Epstein, Dom Famularo, Daniel Glass, Aldo Mazza, Allan Molnar, Jeff Queen, Ron Reid, Marcus Santos, Jeff Salisbury, Michael Taylor, Chester Thompson, Ed Uribe, Glen Velez, The KoSA Rhythm Section: Leo Huppert-bass, BobQuaranta-piano.

The workshop fee includes room, three meals per day, full tuition, hands-on classes, ensembles, and evening concerts. Shorter day packages are also available.
