2014 Croatia International Drum Camp
The eighth annual Croatia International Drum Camp will be held August 30 through September 7 at the Jeunesses Musicales International World Meeting Centre in the 14th century Venetian village of Groznjan, Croatia. The picturesque setting of this ancient Mediterranean hilltop village overlooks sprawling vineyards surrounding the Adriatic Sea, making the Croatia International Drum Camp one of the most unique and geographically attractive drum camps in the world.
Since its inception by camp director Petar Curic in 2007, this one-of-a-kind drum camp has featured such world-class instructors as Bill Bruford, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, JoJo Mayer, John Riley, Gary Chaffee, Mike Mangini, Marco Minnemann, Benny Greb, Pete Riley, Pete Lockett, Gabor Dornyei, and Kim Plainfield. The weeklong camp includes master classes, clinics, concerts, seminars, and roundtable discussions with lodging and meals on-site.
This year’s instructors include iconic gospel chops drummer Gerald Heyward, international drumming superstar Thomas Lang, pop/R&B/hip-hop sensation John Blackwell, London’s Justin Scott, and camp director/instructor Petar Curic. Advertisement
