The Starclassic Performer Birch/Bubinga EFX line offers new finish options in Vintage Nickel Sparkle, Vintage Green Sparkle, and Charcoal Onyx (shown). Said to combine the crisp punch and warm lows of birch/bubinga shells with die-cast hoops and low-mass lugs with high-quality appointments, the Starclassic Performer B/B EFX line offers a classically styled look with a modern sound.

Blending a conventional trapset and a standup cocktail rig, Tama’s new Silverstar Cocktail Jam kit is said to offer a full sound and feel in a package that breaks down into two lightweight bags. The shallow shells and hardware offer the option for the drumkit to be played from a seated or standing position. Featuring all-birch shells and low-mass lugs, the Cocktail Jam kit includes 5.5×14 and 5×10 toms, 6×16 bass drum, a 5×12 snare drum, two bags, a bass drum pedal, and a hardware pack. Optional 200, 600, and 900 series cymbal-mounting hardware packages are available.
