KAT Percussion at NAMM 2015 (VIDEO)

In this video from NAMM 2015, KAT Percussion product manager, Mark Moralez, takes us through what’s new for 2015 from KAT.

KAT is introducing the KT4 kit, their most advanced e-kit to date. It features a new chrome rack and new styling that so everything is set a little lower. It has large, 11″ dual-zone pads, two crash cymbals, a ride, and a realistic hi-hat. All cymbals have three zones: bell, bow, and edge. Boom arms are included.

The KT4 module has over 700 sounds, including samples of several Gretsch kits (USA Custom, Brooklyn Series, and New Classic). 120 MIDI tracks are pre-loaded for all levels of drummers, from beginner to advanced. Up to 100 of the user’s own MIDI tracks can also be imported into the module, using an included SD card and the SD slot. The KT4 is expected to be available by the second quarter of 2015.

The NAMM Show 2015, a trade-only event for the music products industry, was held January 22-25 in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center.
