Mapex at NAMM 2015 (VIDEO)
In this video from NAMM 2015, Mapex’s Joe Hibbs takes us on a tour of the company’s new offerings for 2015.
Mapex improved the Saturn V line to include the SONIClear bearing edges, and SONIClear tom holders now come standard on all Saturn V kits.
Mapex has also introduced three new artist-inspired snare drums this year. These three snare drums come with a Black Panther booklet containing a signed picture of the artist inside.
The Black Panther Chris Adler Warbird snare has a 5.5×12 walnut and maple shell with the Adler family emblem engraved into it.
The Black Panther Wraith was designed in conjunction with Periphery drummer Matt Halpern. This drum features a 6×14 brass shell, 45-degree bearing edges, and all-chrome parts
The Versatus was built to studio great Russ Miller’s specs. It has a 4.58×14, 2-ply maple/3-ply mahogany/2-ply maple hybrid shell, a rounded 45-degree top edge, and a rounded 35-degree bottom edge. Russ Miller’s Black Panther booklet also features a free download of his latest solo album.
