Pork Pie at NAMM 2015 (VIDEO)
In this video from NAMM 2015, Pork Pie president, Bill Detamore, shows us the new offerings from his company for 2015.
The first kit is from the P’Lux line. The shells have curly maple on the outside and mahogany on the inside. The high-gloss finish features mopar orange stripes. Another kit has shells with maple on the outside and rosewood on the inside and is shown with a metallic suede finish. It features black hardware and stands.
Next is the three-piece Hip Pig kit. All of the shells are made of eastern mahogany. The finish, which is new for this year, is a duco finish in blue and silver. Red/gold and black/gold ducos are also available.
The last drum Detamore shows us is a Pork Pie prototype snare drum with an 8-ply maple shell. The finish looks like a sparkle, but it’s actually a wrap made with cymbal material.
The NAMM Show 2015, a trade-only event for the music products industry, was held January 22-25 in Anaheim, California at the Anaheim Convention Center.
