Dreamcatchers incorporate an adjustable nylon hoop and a traditional non-retractable wire brush. The hoop is expandable and can be retracted back to the handle. The nylon hoop helps compress the wire brush filaments into the drumhead more readily for a fat backbeat and faster rebound. Dreamcatchers are said to add a focused ping sound to the washy sound of a traditional brush.

The Dreamcatchers Wired model utilizes a heavy-duty hoop for extra strength. The REM features a double-nylon hoop. The Sweet utilizes two different-size hoops for additional sounds.
