Zildjian at NAMM 2015 (VIDEO)
In this video from NAMM 2015, Paul Francis, head of research and development for Avedis Zildjian cymbals, and Gen 16 product manager Mike Sutton take us through the new products available from Zildjian this year.
For acoustic cymbals, there are additions to several of the company’s lines, including 8″ and 10″ FX Oriental China Trash cymbals, the 7.5″ FX Zil-Bel Volcano Cup, and 10″ and 12″ FX Spiral Stackers, which are designed specifically to be stacked upon other cymbals. Zildjian has extended the weight range of the Kerope series to include 20″ and 22″ Medium cymbals. Zildjian also released the 21″ K Custom Organic ride, which has a natural finish on the top and a brilliant finish on the bottom. Lastly, there’s the 20″ K Constantinople Renaissance ride, which is a smaller version of the 22″ model introduced previously but with different design characteristics.
Next Mike Sutton, Gen 16 product manager, takes us through Zildjian’s Gen 16 line of electronic cymbals.
