Launched in 2012 in Sheffield, England, VK Drums feature single-point lugs turned from solid stainless steel and drilled, tapped, and polished by hand. Hoops are available as 12mm solid laser-cut, mirror-polished, or single-flange with welded-on tags. The welded tags of the VK Quick Hoops have a slot for quick removal of the drumhead without removing the tension rods, and the hoops come with a satin, brushed finish. Standard chrome tension rods are included with all VK drums. An optional tension rod is also available that has the thread hidden inside the lug. Shells are made from stainless steel, titanium, copper, aluminum, and a variety of veneers in ply shells.
