We at Modern Drummer were saddened to hear of the passing of Dick DiCenso, the father of renowned drummer Dave DiCenso and the founder of Dick DiCenso’s Drum Shop, which was founded in 1982 and for twenty-three years served the Quincy, Massachusetts, area. According to a post on Dave’s Facebook page, a wake service for Dick will be held this Friday, May 13, at Sweeney Home for Funerals at 1 Independence Avenue in Quincy, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. To read about Dick DiCenso’s life and career, click here:
