Have you checked out Paiste’s new Master Dark, Rude, and Signature Precision Heavy Cymbals?

Paiste’s Master Dark crash and Dark hi-hat models were designed in collaboration with notable jazz drummers Gregory Hutchinson and André Ceccarelli and reflect their concept of traditional sound with modern quality. The 16″, 18″, and 20″ Dark crashes are said to “exude darkness, warmth, and a smoky vibe with a buttery, soft feel” and are suited for airy, light ride patterns. The 14″ and 15″ Dark hi-hats “radiate a breathy timbre and emanate a soft musical closed sound, and open up with a smoky wash,” as Paiste states. Masters are made from CuSn20 bronze.

In collaboration with Alex Gonzalez, the drummer of Mexico’s most successful rock band, Maná, and co-founder of new metal project De La Tierra, Paiste has added the Basher, Shred Bell, and Blast China models to its Rude series. The 18″ and 20″ Basher is said to be lively, explosive but controlled. The 12″ and 14″ Shred Bell is designed for fast ride patterns and a controlled, lively, metallic sound along with a cutting bell. The 14″ Blast China is said to be lively, raw, and cutting. Rudes are made from CuSn8 bronze in Switzerland.

New additions to the Signature Precision series, which was originally released in 2013, include the 14″ Heavy hi-hats. These hi-hats are said to have a sharp tone with “pronounced responsiveness and a powerful open sound.” Also added is the 20″ Heavy ride, which has a glassy, clear, and strong ping sound and a piercingly loud big bell. Filling out the new models are 16″, 18″, and 20″ Heavy crashes, which are designed for projection and attack with a warmer character and richer sustain. Advertisement
