Harry Miree
Harry Miree (affectionately known in the drumming community as “The Dude”) is an American musician best known for his role as drummer and musical director for platinum selling country rocker HARDY. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Miree earned Berklee College of Music’s Presidential Scholarship, graduated magna cum laude in 2013, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee to begin touring and recording as a sideman.
In addition to having performed as drummer for Lainey Wilson, David Ryan Harris, Nickelback, Old Dominion, Lauren Alaina, Lindsay Ell, LoCash, Clare Bowen, and Ryan Follese of Hot Chelle Rae, Miree has amassed millions of worldwide views on his YouTube series “DudeThoughts” in which he discusses the intricacies of touring, recording and open-handed drumming, which won him YouTube’s Creator Award in 2019.
In 2021 Miree won a Webby Award for “DudeThoughts: A Day in the Life of a Touring Musician”, and in 2023 he won “Country Drummer of the Year” at the Drumeo Awards. While on tour with HARDY, Miree partnered with NBA superstar Charles Barkley and music charity Music Will (formerly Little Kids Rock) to donate over 100 drum sets to American schools with underfunded arts programs, visiting many schools along his tour route to personally deliver the kit donations and teach masterclasses. Some people think he is good at the drums. Advertisement
