Carl Palmer and the “Art??? of Giving Continues

Carl Palmer, one of rock’s iconic figures, and a founding member of Emerson, Lake and Palmer and Asia, in association with Los Angeles art company Scene Four, recently completed a three-day run of art exhibits in Rochester, NY, Bath, PA, and Philadelphia PA on May 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The events resulted in the sale of twenty-three of Palmer’s original canvases, with proceeds to be distributed to three worthy causes that Palmer is supporting: Camp Good Days and Special Times (a summer camp for children with cancer), the American Cancer Society, and the Child Advocacy Center of Philadelphia, which aids abused children in the Philly area.
“Fortunately, I have created a style of art that many people seem to enjoy and want to have in their homes,” says Palmer. “The fact that I can donate a substantial share of the proceeds to help these great charity organizations makes this endeavor even more fulfilling. It is my intention to continue with these charity-driven art events until my art collections have sold out. I can’t think of a better way to share my art with the public.”

The Camp Good Days event was held at its annual fund raising gala while the event benefiting the American Cancer society was held at Friendship Framing and Art Gallery in Bath, near Bethlehem, PA. The event for the Child Advocacy Center was held at Philadelphia’s Ritz Carlton Towers, and was hosted by Paul Conaway of Wanatix Entertainment. Attendees included former district attorney and current Philadelphia mayoral candidate, Lynne Abraham, a major supporter of the advocacy center in Philadelphia. Advertisement
Palmer has released his new signature collection of fine art, Rhythm of Light, created completely from rhythm. Rhythm of Light is a series of signed and numbered prints on canvas featuring visual images constructed from drum performances. Working with acclaimed L.A. art team Scene Four, the artwork combines motion, color, and lighting into compelling fine art visuals.
Palmer is scheduled to launch a mini-tour with his band, Carl Palmer’s ELP Legacy, in June and remains a current member of Asia.
