The Walkabout series is the personal project of Brady Drums founder Chris Brady, who travels deep into the remote deserts and forests of Australia to hand-select small amounts of rare, indigenous timbers, which are then handcrafted into limited editions, rarities, and one-of-a-kind snare drums. So far in 2011, Brady has released five goldfields gimlet (eucalyptus salubris) block snare drums, one sugar gum (eucalyptus cladocalyx) block snare, one wandoo (eucalyptus wandoo) ply snare drum, and one spotted gum (eucalyptus maculata) block drum.
