This month’s feature concludes Modern Drummer’s ongoing column called The Daru Sessions that started last year. In previous pieces we have focused on Daru’s gear, and his various musical and drumming influences. This month we conclude by talking about his new projects, his many drumsets, the gig touring with Jack White, and much more. MD: You have been on the road with Jack White a lot this year. DJ: Yes, sir. This time with Jack, we initially had to learn about 100 songs because we are doing music from his entire catalog. This year we took it all around the world.
